I like the reluctant friendship that Diana and Mozzie sort of develop.

I honestly cannot remember if it's canon, or from fanfic, but I like that Mozzie and June have a bookclub that Neal is not invited to, and I imagine Diana being invited to it once she's on mat leave - her not currently being a suit and all.

I bet little Samantha finding a really cool role model in Diana.

i did a lot of research into runningnose specifically for that video i'm working on but i found something interesting that i thought i'd share since it doesn't fit very well into the video lol

i'm like... 75% sure that runningnose reacts to yellowfang's death two separate times-

for context, at the end of rising storm, runningnose runs ahead of shadowclan to let the other clans know at the gathering that they're not sick anymore and fireheart takes the opportunity to pull him aside and let him know that yellowfang had died

the next book (which i checked, is in fact written by a different author) fireheart announces her death at the gathering to everyone else and runningnose is mentioned to be "sitting erect and upward, his eyes clouded with sorrow" which wouldn't be an odd descriptor, except he was described looking COMPLETELY different earlier in the book.

tigerstar announces the deaths of nightstar and cinderfur and fireheart looks over and sees runningnose "sitting with his head bowed" and that "he could not see his face, but his hunched posture suggested he was lost in misery"

now compare to his reaction to fireheart announcing yellowfang's death- that is a completely different reaction.

he was already aware all three of these characters were dead, so why is he described so differently?

i think it's subtle, but i think runningnose was accidentally written to react to her death twice lol

could i be wrong? absolutely, this is the tiniest of tiny mistakes in warrior cats and it doesn't really matter either way, it's a single line of dialogue but i thought it was interesting regardless!

wait. the parallels between leafpool getting surrounded by happy starclan warriors after discovering the moonpool, and then getting surrounded by angry, judging starclan warriors after her death. they only want her when she does good for them.

i am unfortunately not immune to hawkleaf and hawksquirrel. altho i dont think theres any universe where hawksquirrel is not like. beards. but that post abt hawkleaf getting used by (dead) higher powers has been living in my brain and building itself a little home i think leafp should be allowed to make as many overemotional mistakes as she wants

Hello! I'm Minnow and Valleyclan is currently my work in progress - these panels are what I've kept after deciding to go in a different direction and focus more on writing, and sharing Valleyclan lore. (I'm too busy to draw these days lol)

jing yuan, who loves when you’re wearing his clothes, and you return them to him. it’s so domestic and simple but he craves it. (gn reader, not a serious drabble.) reader is characterized as smaller than jy, interpret as you wish.

The clothes smell like you, of course. The laundry detergent you bought, your shampoo and the little scent beads you like to put in the washing machine. He doesn’t mind the musk that lingers on his old shirts after you clean the whole house, no of course not. Jing Yuan adores smelling your musk, lotion and conditioner melding together and melting into his shirt.

You go out to buy new scent beads every other month, a tiny little jar of them. Jing Yuan swears to anyone who listens that you’re doing this on purpose. Mixing your shampoo and lotion to match with the scent beads, changing the fabric softener to mess with his head (and laundry). He laments this to Fu Xuan, Qingzu, and Yanqing, who all beg you to stick to one routine before the General loses his sanity (of course, everyone groans and ignores him. they’ve had enough of his marital escapades, and they just tell him to marry you again if he’s this smitten. Thus, after a decade of marriage, Jing Yuan has rewritten his vows.) He likes these little variances in his routine, the little harmless surprise that keeps him on his toes.

(He swears it's just because you picked it out. You know it's because it reminds him that there's finally a home for him to return to.)

"I'm back, do you know what the others said during the meeting, they were planning on handing off more paperwork, but I insisted mimi and you would--" He stops in his tracks. This must be unfair. Divine Punishment? Did he anger Lan? his ancestors?

Jing Yuan sees you wearing nothing but some socks, his shorts and t-shirt (both of which hang off of your smaller frame). He runs over, pace quickening.

You yelp quietly, backing away before he pounces onto you, bearing all of his weight onto you. He can't help it, you're so cute wearing his outfit, doing laundry and making dinner.

“You smell so good.” he buries his face into your neck, inhaling the sun on your skin, lotion he bought for you, and the conditioner you've taken from his stash.

“And you smell icky.” You push him off gently, but his arms only tighten. He just got back from work, and he reeks of sweat. But you can’t ignore how your heart races whenever he gets up to these antics, and you can’t help but indulge in his whims. 

This is a regular habit. He barely removes his armor before running to you, and clings to you like a sullen child, asking about dinner and how his darling and mimi have been. You can only sigh and pat his head while he recharges in your lap (or, in Yanqing’s words: naps.) 

"thank you, for everything," He whispers into your ear, "You're doing great, sweetheart."

a/n: I was talking to a coworker abt how the only thing that brings me joy now is a 2d man (jy) and buying new scent beads/laundry scent boosters or sample perfume. then I had this idea. also that ending bit :,) sending good vibes to all with my first fic of the new yr!

So, Neal is a conman, right? But we only really hear about him actually being a con man for the Adler thing.

Of course, that's a long con, so you gotta be a good con artist to pull that off. But I also wonder if Neal is still really more of a forger / thief.

I think it would be interesting to see that be discussed. That while he did do some con artistry, that's not actually where his talents are, so maybe he's not always as perfect at the conning side of it as people expect? Or maybe just the idea that that's not how he sees himself, and then people are shocked?

do u think tigerclaw ever resented lionheart for encouraging pinestar to tell thunderclan he was leaving. in a society where very few mourn the dead do u think it would've been easier for tigerclaw to assume his father was dead and move on rather than one where he knew his father left the clans to become the thing they're all taught to hate

like fully hollystar not like she just calls herself that bc i think that would induce a Breakdown and when you consider that there are real cats who gave lives to broken and tiger1? i don’t think it’s out of the question especially if like ……. starclan is Afraid of the 3. if jayf dreams with holly and brings lion with them and starclan is looking at lion and asking themselves if he could hurt Them too.

i just looked at the list of deaths for po3 and it is pathetically small. 4 of them are offscreen between tnp and po3, one is fire losing a life to greencough, 4 of them are characters i Don’t even remember, and the others are ashf and honeyfern. what is this. ok anyway hollystar lives—

most of these very unorthodox but i think it Fits. this isn’t a real clan but there are some members of starclan that are afraid of the 3 and some who maybe actually believe in what they’re doing !

1- honeyfern — protection, idk if she Believes in what holly is doing but i Do think she wants cinder and poppy and berry to be safe and she knew holly in life, she wants to believe she can protect them

2- midnight — forethought, i just think midnight deserves to give someone a life and i think she’s held aloof from everything enough that the net good / evil of this is irrelevant to her

3- fallen leaves — patience, which he did not have in life. he doesn’t meet her in the tunnels like canon in this au so i think this is a good connection. he feels like he owes jayf too and he knows the three are destined for something and he’s a Part of that somehow

4- spottedleaf — mercy, mostly bc i think she wants the connection with holly if for no other reason than to hold her back from going completely off the deep end

5- mudclaw — swift judgment, i think there’s a connection through crowf here but i think mostly he just still has resentment towards the clans and he believes in what she’s doing

6- raggedstar — idk how to word this but something about seeing other cats for who they really are (ie his misjudgment of yellow broken etc). ironic bc i think he believes in what she’s doing and can’t see how far overboard it’s going to go

7- feathertail — love lol. similar motivations to spotted but i think she has a soft spot for the three for being crow’s kits. i think she Really believes in destiny and if this is the three’s destiny then she wants them to succeed but she thinks she can guide that direction to be gentler

8- bluestar — clearheadedness. i think there is a connection blue feels to holly purely based on the fact of being mentally ill women with ambition. she Absolutely Does Not believe in what holly is doing but she knows what it’s like to be young and ambitious and have your mind fight against you and refuse to hear what everyone around you is telling you and i don’t think she’s doing this bc she wants holly to be a leader, she’s not even trying to guide her like spotted or feather, she just wants holly to know that she’s not the only one

9- ashf — commitment, i think lion forces him to give a life lol. i think they get to 8 and no other cat is coming forward so lion spots him hiding and drags him out and forces it. ashf having to look into the eyes of the cat who killed him, one of these cats hes come to see as a symptom of Everything he hates, and all he can think is like. well. she doesn’t fucking give up and i have to respect That. he’s fucking furious about doing this tho

i think it also fits that at least one cat per clan is involved in this, they’re all culpable in contributing to holly’s rise to power but also like what she’s doing is Outside clan boundaries

PLOT This rp follows two Clans, RippleClan and BreezeClan, who formed from the original four long ago. The lands that belonged to Thunder and Shadow have been lost to a fabled darkness... that is, until the leader of BreezeClan suggests the unimaginable: reclaiming the lost territories. Tensions rise, and sides must be picked, whether the cats like it or not.

THE CLANS RippleClan, the graceful and stealthy cats of the riverside. With a laid-back and peaceful attitude like the flowing water, they graciously accept visitors and new blood. The water is their lifeblood, and like the water, they adapt to what the world throws at them with ease. -Has open high ranks!

BreezeClan, the strong and merciful cats of the moorland. Focusing on spirituality and tradition, they hold StarClan and its code above all, fighting with a ferocity unmatched to defend it and the world around them. -Has open high ranks!

WE OFFER -A nice and welcoming community! The people of this server are so, so kind, I couldn't have asked for better server members! -Opportunities for everyone to make their own story within the greater plot. My goal is to make a place where you can explore what you want to with your character! -Gatherings and Half-Moon meetings that will be baked into the session schedule! -High ranks will never require an audition, just ask first! -As said before, a story made by YOU! With a tough leafbare now finished, the cats of PineClan are relieved for easier seasons again. With FernClan and the newly formed BrightClan now finally at a tentative peace, the Clans together once more are readying apprentices into their newly expanded world, with Acornpaw among them. However, Acornpaw isn't alone, as a starry-pelt cat guides her paws and tells of her a destiny she's always been slated for.

However, tensions between the new and old Clans stays strained, all of which is thrown into chaos after the sudden deaths of Fidgetstar and Palethicket, leaving PineClan seemingly without leadership. No one is left to fill their pawsteps, things are left in disarray as eyes turn to StarClan for guidance.

But as a new dawn rises, the visions given to the Medicine Cats becomes clear. Acornpaw is to lead them to their new future. As PineClan rejoices their newly found guidance, only few are left to wonder- what act of StarClan would allow an untrained apprentice to lead them?
